An Abundance of Freebies to Welcome You Back!

After a short hiatus, the blog is back! Special thanks to those subscribers who gently nudged me to rekindle the blog.

So much to write….where to begin…..

How about a bunch of freebies and coupons:

Baskin Robbins is offering $1 off any Medium or Large Cappuccino Blast before October 15, 2009.

On Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. Cold Stone Creamery is offering a free 3 oz. Make-A-Wish Creation with a donation.

Carvel is having Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 3 to 7 and will be offering free Oreo Lil’ Rounders. (Truth be told, I’m a huge Oreo fan! They are my all time favorite store bought cookie.)

Are you a Jamba Juice fan like my daughter? Print this coupon and buy one smoothie and get one 16 ounce for a dollar. Hurry up; this offer expires on September 27th.

How about a free sample of New Total Blueberry Pomegranate Cereal shipped directly to your dorm or apartment?

And while you are at it, sign up for a free sample of Honey Nut Cheerios and they will also send you a dollar coupon off your next purchase.

Before they run out, there are still free Kashi samples available.

Looking ahead to this coming weekend, on Saturday, September 26th, be sure to check out Museum Day, with free museum admission available at countless museums throughout the country. Many of these museums are planning special one day events to coincide with Museum Day.

That should be enough to get you started and help you with your college or post college budget!

Coffee and Ice Cream for Free (or almost free): Sustenance for the College Student

It is always a great day when free or nearly free coffee is involved, and even better when it is from Dunkin' Donuts. Tuesday, April 21st is Iced Coffee Day, for the nominal charge of 50 cents. I know, in past years it was free, but this year the money will help support Homes for Our Troops.

On the same day (April 21st), head over to Ben and Jerry's and celebrate Free Cone Day. Coffee in one hand and ice cream in the other - - pure heaven!

Celebrate National Pretzel Day on April 26th and enjoy a free homemade pretzel at one of these locations.

On Wednesday, April 29th from 5 to 10 p.m., head over to Baskin Robbins for a 31 cent small ice cream scoop.

The USPS is raising the price of a first class stamp from 42 to 44 cents on May 11th. Purchase some Forever Stamps prior to May 11th at the lower price, and they will continue to be honored without additional postage after May 10th.

Sign up for Cold Stone Creamery's Birthday Club and enjoy a free cup of ice cream on your birthday.

I have appreciated a nice increase in the number of subscribers to my blog lately. A big thank you to you from your Virtual Mom!

I imagine many of you have seen this amazing video of Susan Doyle on YouTube this week. It's truly inspirational!

Yeah for weekends! Hope it's a great one.
